Can you see me now?

Why, yes I can!!!  I hadn't been to the eye doctor since, oh, my sophomore year of high school.  My eyes weren't terrible back then, only having to wear glasses when reading.  But, high school kids can be cruel, so I abandoned them quickly.  Then life catches up to you, and quite honestly, going to the eye doctor was the least of my concerns.  But it was on my list of things to do while on maternity leave this time.  Of course, I waited til the last minute and finally went last week.  After paying for vision insurance for 6 1/2 years, I finally utilized my benefits.  And ta-da!  New glasses for me!  When I was on my laptop all day today at work, they made a world of a difference.  This is what everything was supposed to look like. :)

Wait - do you mean to tell me they let you into accounting camp without glasses?!

You look smarter. I won't be so embarassed to be seen with you now. ha!

I got glasses when I was 15 (failed the eye test at the DMV)! I never knew I needed them, but I still remember being amazed that I could see actual leaves on a tree from a distance! It really is the little things...
